Windows Vista (“Redshark” and “Longhorn”)

While I wasn’t around to see the release of Vista in 2007, I was involved in the early design and prototyping phase. I helped build and test DHTML-based prototypes, focusing on file management and media playback. Few of us Program Managers liked the direction we were headed compared to the successes of Windows XP, so I decided to leave the group. Windows Vista was considered to be one of Microsoft’s biggest flops.
