Let a woman learn in silence
With full submission
I permit no woman to teach
Or to have authority over a man
She is to keep silent.
If men get into a fight with one another
And the wife of one intervenes
And seizes an opponent by the balls
You shall cut off her hand
Show no pity.
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything
Not only while being watched
And in order to please them
But wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord
Whatever your task, put yourselves into it
As done for the Lord and not for your masters
Since you know that from the Lord
You will receive the inheritance as your reward
You serve the Lord Christ.
When a slave-owner strikes
a male or female slave with a rod
and the slave dies immediately
the owner shall be punished
But if the slave survives
For a day or two
there is no punishment
For the slave is the owner’s property
